St. Norbert Farmers Market!!!

 

Our excitement for this new partnership is on another level, we cannot express how thrilled we are to partner with this iconic market.

 

We will be operating as two separate markets. They have graciously allowed us to use their beautiful space to host of SHOP! a series of summer markets.

 

The tent can house 40 vendors safely within COVID guidelines. There is ample outdoor space for vendors to set up outdoors with their own personal tents + food trucks.

BOOTHS

INGRESS / EGRESS

 

  • Ingress will start at 12pm 

  • You need to be fully setup by 1:30pm​

  • You are able to drive “through” the tent, entering from the north side, exiting south. 

  • Quickly unload your goods + then exit.

  • NO idling in the tent or on sight, turn your engine off while unloading. 

  • A sitemap will be sent to you, marked with your booth spot.

Egress will start at 8pm. Please give our staff time to safely get shoppers out from 8-8:15pm before brining in your cars. You may tear down during that 15 minute window. Pease be patient + aware of your fellow vendors and shoppers as you are exiting.

BOOTH GUIDELINES

 

In light of COVID, your booth setup must be very simple + able to be constantly wiped down. This will look every different from our signature Third+Bird markets. We do not expect you to bring your big beautiful booth displays. You can bring elements, but that is  NOT required. Think simple booth display, that is outdoor, gravel-ground friendly.

 

We suggest a 2 table setup, one for display + one for stock or a simple display wall behind you for shoppers to look + one for them to grab stock.

 

Any signage /decor pieces you bring, must be able to be wiped down (NO table cloths). If you allow shoppers to touch your product (which is allowed, but we leave that decision solely up to you), please have them sanitize their hands before touching the product. You will need to provide the hand sanitizer 

 

We strongly encourage the use of contact-less payment methods. Though, legally we cannot tell you not to bring cash, as it’s a legal currency. Your safety and what YOU feel comfortable with is our top concern. If you wish to offer that to your customers, that is because you feel comfortable and safe to do so. We will heavily be encouraging and advertising contact-less payment. 

NOTIFICATIONS + BOOTH PAYMENT

Applications close July 26 @ 8pm

Notifications will be emailed on July 27 if your application has been accepted or not. Please check your inbox that day.

 

Upon acceptance to the market, you will have 3 business days to pay for the week (s) you have applied for. If payment is not received your spot will be forfeited and given to the next maker on the wait list. 

INDOOR SPACES + FOOD TRUCKS

 

  • We have 40 spaces in the tent. Each space is approx. 8 feet wide x 5 feet deep

  • Food trucks will also be outdoor patio space

There is loads of parking. We will have a vendor designated area. More info to come once acceptance letters are sent out. The community club, for now, is offering parking for free. However it could change to $2 a day in the future.

Supporting marginalized women + families in Nepal will always been our charity of choice for our signature markets. However, introducing SHOP! allows us to look at local charities that we can partner with a support. 10% of all SHOP! profits will be donated to: Villa Rosa + Bear Clan Patrol​

  • Approved hand sanitizer stations for shoppers and vendors upon entry and at washrooms

  • Reduced amount of vendors in venue - following Government guidelines + St Norbert Farmers’ Market guidelines. 

  • Controlled shopper capacity - following Government guidelines + St Norbert Farmers’ Market guidelines. 

  • Wide aisles with directed traffic flow - marked arrows on gravel 

  • No food product sampling

  • Advising vendors + staff to stay home if they feel sick - a back up helper must come as we have online orders that MUST be fulfilled ,so please have someone on deck who can cover for you. 

  • Signage with COVID guidelines

  • Scheduled cleaning of high traffic surfaces with Government approved cleaning products

WEATHER

 

This event is rain or shine and no refunds will be offered due to weather or other circumstances. 

 

We will continue on with the market for the full hours in the event of rain. If you have an outdoor booth, please be prepared for appropriate protection + securement of your tent.

 

In the event of extreme weather, the event will be cancelled. Please be sure to have your cell phone entered so we can send you immediate updates if we have to cancel on market due to extreme weather. If we cancel the market for this reason, we will issue refunds.

CANCELLATION POLICY

 

Due to the short timelines of the event, there will be no refunds for cancellations. If you are feeling unwell, please have a backup plan or person to man your booth. We do not have time to fill your spot.

WASHROOMS

 

There are washrooms on site. They will be cleaned on a regular basis with government approved cleaning products.

All online order must be packaged as per a step-by-step document we will send you upon acceptance.

You will not be allowed to set up in your spot until you have delivered the click and collect orders to our staff member designated at the back of the tent between 12 - 12:30

 

If a staff member has to find you after 12:30, you will forfeit your remaining markets and you will receive a $50 penalty.

I AM NERVOUS ABOUT COVID + DON'T KNOW IF I SHOULD APPLY?

As for our markets, we will be following the government guidelines as they stand each week.

We understand everyone has their own concerns + stance on guidelines, moving at their own pace and what is comfortable for them personally, and that is ok.

We realize that not everyone will be comfortable with government guidelines, if that is the case we suggest that you not participate in the markets. This will not affect your chances to participate in future markets in any way. Any maker who is moving forward + applying is doing so because they are comfortable with the current rules and guidelines set out by the Province of MB. 

 

 

WILL I  HAVE TO WEAR A MASK? WILL THIRD+BIRD  STAFF WEAR A MASK?

We are following Phase 3 protocols which means no masks are required. If the government makes it mandatory at any point, we will adjust this stance.  As for makers, it’s entirely up to you if you choose to wear one.

 

 

WHAT IF I’M SICK AND HAVE NO ONE TO COVER MY BOOTH? 

We strongly advise that, before you apply, you have a confirmed back up plan. Someone who is willing and capable to cover + support your booth at the market. If you are sick DO NOT COME, for the health and safety of others. Failure to show up will forfeit any future spots you sign up for, you will not receive a refund and a note will be recorded on your vendor jury profile.
